Bournville
Bournville is a model village in southwest Birmingham, founded by the Cadbury family to accommodate the employees at their famous chocolate factory. The Cadburys treated their employees well, providing good quality housing, schools, recreation grounds and a swimming pool. The primary school is home to a carillon which is regularly played, filling the air with the sound of bells. As strict Quakers, the Cadbury family prohibited the sale of alcohol in Bournville and there are still no pubs in the village to this day.
This colourway is inspired by the profusion of purple in the village (even the lamp posts around the chocolate factory are painted purple!) mingled with chocolate brown. Yum yum!!

Fibre
The Shetland combed top comprises approx. 100g of Pure British Shetland wool, which is dyed to Oeko-Tex 100 standard and complies with EN71-3:2019. It is custom blended at a family-run British spinning mill in Yorkshire and is suitable for spinning or felting.
I photograph in natural daylight, however colour variations can occur between monitors.
