Soho Road
Soho Road is a mile-long stretch of the A41 between Winson Green and Handsworth and is one of the main roads into Birmingham. Matthew Boulton opened his Soho Manufactory in the area in 1761 and lived at Soho House, which is now a museum. The Soho Road is a vibrant, multicultural shopping street and melting pot of Birmingham’s diverse communities. Here you can buy traditional Indian clothes and jewellery, Caribbean curry goat, Indian sweets, Eastern European groceries and all manner of meat and fish.
The zingy mix of red, orange, purple, yellow and blue reflects the vibrancy of this bustling community.
